Caroline Main, PA-C
Physician Associate
Caroline Main, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant who earned her Masters of PA Practice from the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her pursuit of a career practicing medicine started young, after visiting the CA Science Center on a 4th grade field trip. In her mind, medicine is the ideal balance between intellectual curiosity about the human body, and serving the community in tangible ways. She went to Westmont College in Montecito, CA on academic scholarship. She maintained Dean’s List taking pre-med courses, running track & field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and applied this to working 2 years in Santa Barbara as a physical therapy aide.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Caroline worked for 2 years as an EMT driving ambulances to all types of 911 calls in Oxnard, CA. She simultaneously worked as an emergency medical scribe in an ER while applying to PA schools. Since graduating USC, she has worked as a PA in the Emergency Department, treating and performing procedures for a wide variety of high acuity patients, advocating for their best possible care. Practicing medicine means pursuing lifelong learning, and in turn educating patients. Caroline is drawn to women’s health in particular as a way of promoting empowerment, self-care, and devoting time building relationships with patients.
A fact that may surprise you is she lived in a tent for 4 months studying abroad in Tanzania, and continues to love traveling to unexpected places. Caroline spends her free time with her family, lifelong friends, Newfoundland dog, and hiking.
